About the CH Wofford Foundation

Founded in 2022, The CH Wofford Foundation was born out of Chris Wofford’s personal journey. Growing up, Chris found mentorship and structure through athletics—where being part of a team guided by dedicated coaches and committed to a shared goal helped him overcome challenging circumstances and lead to his athletic, academic and professional achievements.

The Foundation is committed to supporting under-resourced students by funding “safe place” programs and merit-based scholarships. As of Fall 2025, the CH Wofford Foundation has raised just under $1 million through a combination of Wofford Advisors’ profits and third-party fundraising. Guided by the belief that every child deserves mentorship and opportunity—especially during the pivotal adolescent years—the Foundation focuses on Massachusetts communities, including Nantucket Island, where year-round families often face significant challenges despite the island’s affluence.
